Olinda is named after a sea port in Brazil, just above Recife. When the house was first built over 100 years ago, a sea captain lived here. He sailed to Recife and met a Portuguese girl near the Olinda lighthouse. He married her and brought her back to live here in Worthing, and they named their home after the place where they met.
